The new ground-floor base is located in Colebrook Street in Winchester City Council’s offices. LST was responsible for stripping out and refurbishing the existing space to create a welcoming environment for clients, volunteers and staff alike.
As the work was carried out in an occupied building, there was restricted access, so careful scheduling of deliveries was required. We also had to ensure there was no noise disruption. Thanks to LST’s careful planning and execution, the construction programme was halved with the work completed in just six weeks instead of 12.
Natalie Webb, chief officer of Citizens Advice said: “We’re delighted to have had this wonderful opportunity to work with the city council to move into a new, modern, city centre space. It will be so much more accessible and convenient for our clients.”
“The project went very well – we can't envisage how it could be improved.”
