Is your classroom helping or hindering learning?

August 10, 2017
in
Education

In recent research, from Salford University they found that the classroom environment can affect a pupil’s academic progress by as much as 25% over just one year [Report here].

This in turn has a knock-on effect. Better exam results. Something you can show off to prospective parents at open evenings, explaining why your classrooms create an ideal environment to learn.

Maintaining and expanding your student numbers while at the same time creating an environment which can have a positive knock-on effect to exam results is an investment worth considering.

RIBA also carried out their own research and found that 91% of teachers felt that good behaviour was linked to the design of a classroom. Good design and build can also make the school a lot cheaper to run [here].

We’ve worked on many different school sites – from nurseries to universities. Our aim is to understand your needs within the school and translate them into an effective working environment for pupils and staff. Take a look at our different case studies here.
