Located in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, Hudson Leisure Centre is managed by Freedom Leisure, a long-standing client of LST. The facility was transformed by LST in 2019, including a new state-of-the-art gym, group exercise studio and café as well as a new reception and refurbished entrance area. The 28-week programme was completed nearly three months ahead of schedule and in a live environment.
The community event was led by representatives from Fenland District Council, accompanied by professional boxer Jordan Gill, local councillors, and LST’s estimating director Patrick Mballa.
As part of the celebrations, Patrick presented leisure centre staff with a customised cake. He said: “This event was a great opportunity for people of all ages to take a look at the fantastic facilities on offer at Hudson Leisure Centre.
“We brought the cake as a thank you to Freedom Leisure and Fenland District Council for inviting us to be part of the celebrations and enabling us to play a key role in the leisure centre’s transformation. To see local people enjoying the new centre and an improved visitor experience is very rewarding.”
Other projects completed by LST for Freedom Leisure include Arun Leisure Centre in Bognor Regis, de Stafford Sports Centre in Caterham and Tandridge Leisure Centre in Surrey.
